Bacillus pumilus is widely identified as a pathogen of plants and humans. Importantly, it inhibits the growth of marine pathogens. It produces antimicrobial and antifungal compounds. Furthermore, it increases water quality by degrading complex compounds.

1×108–1×109 CFU B. pumilus AQAHBS01/kg diet increases S. agalactiae resistance of Nile tilapia in on-farmed cageculture.
